For the love of .....BOOKS

WOW, What??? Anyone who really knows me, knows that i DO NOT love books. That my friends is a very true statement, but there are some that i have fallen in love with. I will share those with you because maybe there are some other people out there who have the same love/hate relationship with books as I do. There is hope that maybe there are some books out there that can catch a persons attention enough to WANT to finish the book, or even not want to just close it and never look at it again but actually freak out when you don't have time the next day to pick it up and read more! Ya i said it, these books right here definitely did that for me!

So a little back story..... why do I NOT like reading? Well growing up I was a VERY slow reader. I would read a page and not remember what i just read at the top. I struggled to do book reports or I struggled to do homework when it involved reading. I just couldn't focus and remember what I read. My poor father , when he was home he was reading with me, if he wasn't  he was buying books i was reading for book reports while he traveled and was reading them with me. He had the patience of GOLD with me for home work. Thank the good Lord for that right!
So once I got done with my all my schooling and could read a book just to enjoy with no time limit I finally relaxed a little bit and picked up a few books. SO here are a few books that I fell in love with!

Redeeming Love -Francine Rivers

AHHH this book i just couldn't put it down it was amazing! My eyes, heart and head were ALL In! I couldn't put it down! Get the tissues ready because you will cry!

Made To Crave- Lisa Terkeurst

I have actually read this book 3 times. If you need help with controlling your food and understanding why you are made and what food is there for, this book is for you! God didn't make you to crave food, but made you to crave Him! This book just helped me get my mind in the right place when dealing with food.

Redemption Book series - Karen Kingsbury

These books are amazing! I laughed, I cried and i couldn't put these books down! I am now on the next series that follows along with it called the Firstborn Series. I am plugging away at this series too and man it is just as good! Karen Kingsbury writes so amazing. I have read many others from her too and i just love them all. She is an amazing writer so i you need a book to read any of hers will do!

Raise The Roof - Pat Summit

Such a good book for all the basketball lovers and the Uconn vs. Tennessee rivalry. Pat Summit was an amazing coach and this book i just fell in love with, it made me feel at times like i was right in the gym with her and her players.

Girl Wash Your Face - Rachel Hollis

I just finished this book and man it was amazing such a "punch in the face" kinda book. What do i mean by that? She just says the stuff you need to hear! She says it like it is and really makes you think about what you want and how to get there!
I did the audible version of this and i have to say...YES it is my new love especially for us busy mamas, i listened while i did laundry and washed dishes! Man it was all AWESOME! i will listen again for sure!

I hope you all enjoyed my first BLOG!

Life with puppies and the lessons they teach us

Lets talk about our four legged friends...we have a lot of them, so we could talk for a long time! These puppies and not just ours, teach us so much about LIFE, don't they?! As much as they drive me crazy, I truly love them all.  Everyone who knows me, knows I was never an animal person until I met my husband and he had Moe aka Moe Moe. He was a beagle. Once I met that dog, man I just needed to get another one. Moe was just crazy haha, that dog and Nick were best of friends and I realized what it meant when people say " a dog is a mans best friend" that was 1000% true for Nick and Moe. Moe went everywhere he could with Nick, he was always right at the door when Nick got home and when he was single he was Nicks dinner partner every night! When I say dinner partner I mean this dog tried to eat all of his food at any chance he could! This dog LOVED food. I could go on for hours about his issues but I won't do that to you all! When I met Nick, Moe actually welcomed me i...
